Verdero Vipers 5, Seadogs 1
In the season opener on Sunday, Andrew Giovanetti tossed three scoreless innings but the Dogs could not hold on as the Vipers roared to victory. Dan Chapin made an outstanding catch in leftfield for the Seadogs.
Seadogs 8, Verdero Vipers 6
A two-run triple by Alex Kennedy and a bases clearing, three run triple by Andrew Snape were the big hits as the Seadogs took game two. Patrick Tevenan, Dan Maguire, Dave Erwin and Kevin McGovern shared the pitching duties with McGovern picking up the save. Luke Buckovich made the highlight reel catch out in right field.
Worcester Heat RED 11, Seadogs 0
About all you could say positively about game one for the Dogs was that they got the season started on Saturday morning in Worcester.

Solid pitching from Nate Curley and Josh Dubois paved the way to the game two win and a split of the doubleheader. Kylar Macoratti, Owen Leary, Pat Santorella and Curley each had hits and scored runs as the Dogs scored twice in the first and four times in the second. Macoratti made several good plays at third base to hold off the Heat.
