Fall 2010 Leagues

Fall Outdoor Baseball Leagues will once again be held in four different age groups. Ranging in age from 7 to 18, the Fall 2009 season saw over 200 players participate.

AGES 7-9 will be held at Watson Park in Braintree each Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM for the five week session beginning September 13th. The final day will be Friday, October 15th. Players enter individually and will be placed on teams by the SSBC staff. The focus of this group will be to play lots of baseball. Coaches will pitch. We want the balls hit, caught and thrown as often as possible.
AGES 10-12 will play doubleheaders on Saturday mornings at 9:00 AM beginning September 11th for six weeks. The final date will be October 16th. All action will be held at Watson Park in Braintree. Kids will pitch, with a maximum three innings allowed per day per player. We will provide shirts, hats, umpires, standing and playoffs. Players may register as a group or as individuals. Rosters will be limited to ensure proper playing time.
A separate league will be held on Sundays for boys 11 and 12 that play on the AAU size field with 50 feet from the mound to home and 70 foot bases. This will include full instruction on leads, steals and pitchers dealing with baserunners. CLICK HERE for more info.
AGES 13-14 will play Saturday doubleheaders each week beginning September 11th and will run for six weeks. The final date will be October 16th. Fields may include Cronin Field in Hingham, Stella Tirrell and/or Libby Field in Weymouth. Players may register as a group or as individuals. Fee includes SSBC shirt, hat and umpires fees.
