| The South
Shore Baseball Club, which began in 1989, is a year round operation that
caters to baseball and softball players of all ages. Located inside the
South Shore Sports Center
in Hingham, (15 miles south of Boston, Massachusetts) the public can use
the facility to enjoy the great games of baseball and softball. With 5 batting
cages, indoor pitching mounds, an infield area, Pro Shop and snack bar,
we can accomodate any level of hitter or enthusiast.
The SSBC (with its
experienced, professional staff) offers a full array of clinics,
camps
and private instruction. Memberships are
available in full year and six month options for individuals, siblings
or families. Membership allows a person to reserve cage time and hit
at no additional cost. They may also attend free "Members
Only Workouts," receive a 10% discount on all Pro Shop purchases
as well as reduced rates on all clinics, camps and private lessons. Non-members
can rent the cages as they are available.
Private lessons
are available by appointment in hitting and pitching in both baseball
and
softball. We also field Seadogs A.A.U.
Travel Teams in baseball from ages 10 thru 16. Among the many other
clinics
and camps are Indoor Spring Training, Softball
Pitching, Speed, Strength and Conditioning, Rookie
Leagues for
5 to 8 year olds, Hitters’ Workshops, Summer
Baseball Camps, Fall Baseball Leagues,
Battery Clubs for pitchers and catchers, the
Christmas Vacation Survivor Series and the April
Vacation Cohasset Camp. The SSBC is commited to the development
of baseball and softball players and will continue to offer new and
innovative
programs to further the advancement and enjoyment of the great games
of baseball and softball.
