12U GOLD

The 12U GOLD Seadogs won three of four, topping the Hit Doctor Diamonds twice on Saturday before splitting a pair with the Quincy Future Stars on Sunday.

Seadogs 22, Hit Doctor Diamonds 2

On Saturday in Randolph, the Dogs bats exploded in a 22-2 win over the Hit Doctor Diamonds. Brendan Cornell, Danny Sullivan, Christopher DeGiacomo, Scott Radding, John Donahue and Brendan Smith all pounded out multiple hits in the blowout, helping ace Joe Divico cruise to another win on the mound.

Seadogs 14, Hit Doctor Diamonds 6

In game two, it was more of the same, as the Dogs won 14-6. Chris DeGiacomo was 4-4 with a home run, Charlie Michalowski had three hits, and Tyler Walsh, John Donahue and Scott Radding had multi-hits in the game. Brendan Cornell went the distance for the win.


Quincy Future Stars 6, Seadogs 0

The Future Stars silenced the Seadog bats in the opening game shutout on Sunday.

Seadogs 9, Quincy Future Stars 4

The Dogs rebounded in the nightcap behind strong pitching performances from starter Harry Cornell and closer Chris DeGiacomo. To pace the offense, Charley Michalowski and Brendan Cornell each tripled and singled, and DeGiacomo had two doubles and single to go 3-3. Scott Radding continued his hot hitting with two singles. Jackson Hartwell made several key plays in the outfield to snuff out Quincy rallies.

 

 

12U BLUE


Matt Cunningham Homers Against the Wildcats




The 12U BLUES had a win and a tie in a Sunday doubleheader against the Weymouth Wildcats.

Seadogs 4, Weymouth Wildcats 3

David Hutchins (5 IP, 9 K's) tossed five powerful innings and Tommy Larason hit a two-run homer and pitched the final inning for the save in a hard fought win. Larason picked the potential tying run off second base to end the game. Joe Roddy added an RBI double for the winners.


Seadogs 7, Weymouth Wildcats 7

Trailing 7-3 in the bottom of the fifth, the Dogs rallied behind a two-run single from Kyle Lussier and an RBI single from Johnny Rorke to tie things up. Dave Hutchins (3 for 4) and Matt Cunningham each hit towering homeruns for the Seadogs. A bases loaded line shot by Dylan Russo was snared in left field to end the game in the sixth.

The 11 GOLDS split doubleheaders each day.

Wayland Blaze 5, Seadogs 4

The Blaze rallied for four runs in the top of the sixth to spoil a strong mound effort from Zack Silva. Matt Nash had two hits and scored twice from the leadoff spot while Silva added a pair of hits. Teddy Flaherty's RBI double broke a 1-1 tie in the fifth.

Seadogs 17, Wayland Blaze 5

Tyler Balzarini tossed three strong innings and added two hits and three runs as the Dogs rolled in the nightcap. Sean Feth had two hits and a triple while Tommy Gillan stood out on the basepath and in the field. Sean Cornell also pitched well in relief.

 

Seadogs 10, Team Mizuno CARDINAL 3

Brandon Jung allowed just three runs over five strong innings while Zack Silva, Mike McLeod and Jung each scored twice in Sunday's opening win.

Team Mizuno CARDINAL 8, Seadogs 1

Team Mizuno bounced back and limited the Seadog hitters as they cruised in game two.

 

 

11U BLUE

The 11 BLUES dropped a pair of close games with the RI Reds on Saturday at Mercer.

RI Reds 5, Seadogs 4 (10 innings)

The Reds scored twice in the top of the seventh to take a 3-1 lead before Brett Tivnan's (2 for 4) RBI double tied it in the bottom half. The Reds plated two more in the top of the tenth to take a 5-3 lead. Brandon Fein drove in Tivnan to cut the lead to 5-4 but was stranded at second as the game ended. Starting pitcher Zeke Berg (6 IP, 4 K's, 1 run) had a big game (3 for 4, HR, 2 RBI) on the mound and at bat, tossing six strong innings and adding a homerun. Chris Ferraro threw three strong innings of relief.

RI Reds 5, Seadogs 4

A first inning triple play propelled the Reds to the sweep in game two. Chris O'Brien and Harrison Pitts had key hits to keep things close.

 

 

13U BLUE

The 13U BLUES split a pair with the Dugout Dawgs on Saturday. They were rained out on Sunday.

Seadogs 8, Dugout Dawgs 5

Ryan Jones fanned six over four strong innings to get the win. Johnny Carlson worked the final three for the save. Joe Leahy (2 for 3, 2 RBI) added a pair of hits to go along with his brilliant defense at thirdbase. Ricky Smith (2 for 3, RBI) added his usual multiple hits.

Dugout Dawgs 3, Seadogs 1

Starter Ricky Smith and reliever Sam D'Antuono both pitched well but the Seadogs offense was silenced.

 

14U GOLD

The 14U GOLDS won one and lost three as they hit the road both days.

Seadogs 10, RI Tides 1

First inning singles by Danny White, Evan Flanagan, Danny Swain and Drew Saltmarsh led to an early 3-0 lead in the Seadogs only win of the weekend. Hector Coscione added a pair of doubles and Evan Flanagan tossed five strong innings for the win.

RI Tides 12, Seadogs 4

Highlights were hard to find as the Tides rebounded in game two. Coscione and Swain had two hits each.

 

NH Blackflies 5, Seadogs 4

The Dogs got solid pitching from both Pat Carroll and James Marcello as the Blackflies made the most of their three hits to take the opener. Drew Saltmarsh had three hits while Carroll and Swain had two each.

NH Blackflies 15, Seadogs 4

The New Hampshire hosts hit the ball all over the field in the mercy shortend nightcap to complete the sweep over the depleted Dogs.
