The 10U Blue Seadogs improved their record to 20-2 with four more wins over the weekend.
Seadogs 9, NE Navigators 4
Winning pitcher Trevor Cooley (3 IP, 7 K's) combined with Bailey
Steele and Zack DelVecchio in a fine pitching performance. Cooley helped
himself with a pair of hits to go along with two hits each from Kevin
Higgins
and Bryant Salkind.
Seadogs 7, NE Navigators 5
In another tight, hard fought contest - Brian Umano, Chris
Ferraro and
Brett Tivnan (save) shared mound duties. Navigators pitching held the
'Dogs in check as they mustered just seven hits with Jack Donius knocking
out a pair.
Seadogs 15, Quincy Deuces 0
Brian Umano had four hits, including a pair of doubles to lead a 14 hit attack while hurlers Kevin Higgins, Kyle Heffernan and Jack Donius shut down the Deuces. Zack DelVecchio controlled things well from his catcher's position, gunning down one would-be basestealer.
Seadogs 16, Quincy Deuces 0
Austin LeBlanc and Brian Umano each homered to lead another strong attack as the 'Dogs swept the young Deuces. Tyler Bell and Brett Tivnan combined on the shutout.

Seadogs got four weekend wins to take their season
mark to 13-1.
Seadogs 8, Grand Slam Riverdogs 5
Drew Alexopoulos worked four very efficient (46 pitches)
shutout/one hit innings and was the winning pitcher in the first of two
at the Ted
Williams Camp
in Lakeville. He struck out two and walked no one in facing the minimum
of just 12 hitters as receiver A. J. Ferrara gunned
down the only Riverdog runner to reach base attempting to steal third
base in the first inning.
Out of the #3 spot in the order Austin Salkind kicked
off a huge weekend with his 4th home run and Anthony Conte had
a pair of hits and two RBI in
two trips. When Alexopoulos left, the Riverdogs rattled some bats for
five in the fifth to cut a 7-0 lead to 7-5 and Tommy Larason came on
for his 2nd save of the year, retiring five consecutive hitters to assure
the win.
Seadogs 7, Grand Slam Riverdogs 3
In the nightcap, the Seadogs scored two in the first and five in the second
to claim a 7-0 lead and held on for their 9th straight win. Salkind scored
twice and drove in one with a pair of singles. Joe Roddy drove in two
runs and Johnny Rorke got the win pitching the first two innings, allowing
only one hit and scored twice himself. Dylan Russo worked three solid
innings out of the 'pen, allowing only two hits and striking out four.
Seadogs 10, Colonials 0
As outstanding as Alexopoulos had been on Saturday, Salkind one-upped
his second year teammate on Sunday at the Hampshire Dome in Milford NH.
He
hit the NE Colonials with four no-hit innings, striking out eleven of
the thirteen hitters he faced, walking one and throwing out the other
on a bunt attempt to pick up his first win of the season. He also scored
twice and had two more hits in the 10-0 Seadogs win. Among others contributing
offensively, Johnny Rorke drove in three with a two
run HR and a sac fly...Russo was 2-2 scoring once and
driving in another...Matt
Cunningham made his one AB count, driving in two when the
'Dogs rallied for seven runs in the fifth to end it an inning early...
and Cody Carr clubbed his third HR of the season.
Seadogs 17, Colonials 4
The 'Dogs made a five run statement in the first inning then followed by
scoring at least once in each of the four innings following in a 17-4
win led again by Austin Salkind. In the Seadogs 11th straight win Salkind scored three times and drove in three with a pair of triples. He had
offensive assistance from Anthony Conte who scored three and knocked
in one...Matt Cunningham, who ripped his first HR of the season, was
2-4 with 4 rbi...Joe Roddy (3-3, 2 R, 1 RBI) and Mike
Callander (2-2,
1 R).
The 12U BLUES continued their winning ways with a sweep of the NE Ruffnecks on Sunday at Putnam/Mercer, upping their record to 17-2. Saturday's games were rained out.

Jesse Feldstein raised his record to 6-0 with four strong innings
(7 K's) while Will O'Sullivan (3 for 3, 2 runs, 5 RBI) and Sam
Ballerini
(2 for 2, 3 runs, 3 RBI) led the balanced offensive attack.
Seadogs 10, NE Ruffnecks 0
Evan Morris (5 IP, 2 H, 3 K's) tossed five shutout innings and Gus Culpo (3 for 3, RBI), Jarred Montero (2 for 2, 2 RBI) and Feldstein (2 run HR) swung big bats.
The 13U GOLDS enjoyed a good weekend, winning three of four to up their season record to 10-7.

Jake McLoud and James
Marcello shared mound duties while Brody Loughlin (2 hits) and Danny
White (2
runs) led a balanced attack in the opening win.
Seadogs 14, Mass Bay Bullets 4
The victors scored two or more runs in each of the first five innings on their way to the Saturday sweep. Nolan Driscoll and Drew Saltmarsh took care of the pitching duties while the run scoring was led by Mike Lenane (4 hits, 2 runs), Loughlin (2 hits) and Nate Indelicato (2 hits).
Seadogs 3, NE Ruffnecks 2
Rob Madden's RBI single in the eighth inning scored Nolan
Driscoll with the game winning run as the 'Dogs prevailed in extra
innings. Madden was also the winning pitcher as he tossed
seven strong innings. Brendan Craven pitched the eighth
for the save.
Ruffnecks 13, Seadogs 3
The Ruffnecks scored seven times in the second and never looked back to gain a split of Sunday's twinbill.
The 13U BLUES won three of four as their record moved to 21-2.
Seadogs 5, Ramblers 4
Donny May pitched excellent for 5 plus innings. Sean Heelen came on in relief with bases loaded and no outs in the sixth and pitched well to earn the save. Cam Hanley, Tommy Landry, Danny Dougherty and Sam Falkson all pitched in on offense with RBI singles.
Seadogs 5, Ramblers 4
Kevin Murphy pitched a gem and Vin Scifo came on to earn the win after the game was tied in the seventh. May was the offensive star, delivering a game-winning pinch hit line drive single in the bottom of the seventh. Todd MacDonald, Johnny Adams, Landry and Scifo all contributed with RBIs on offense, while Murphy helped his cause with two hits.
Nokona 5, Seadogs 3
The 'Dogs battled back and left the bases loaded to end the game. After a sloppy start, Joey Guarino came on to pitch three scoreless innings and gave the 'Dogs a chance. Adams and Landry each contributed two hits and an RBI on offense, while Dougherty added a sac fly. It was only the second loss of the season.
Seadogs 9 Nokona 3
Scifo pitched
well for four innings to earn the win, while Justin Lloyd and Dougherty pitched well
in relief. Heelen picked off two runners from his catcher position and hosed another runner
trying to steal. Dougherty led the way offensively with two hits, including
a run delivering bomb for a triple. Joe Manni also hit a bullet to CF for
an RBI. Guarino added a beautiful suicide squeeze bunt and Adams added
an RBI double.

The 10U GOLDS bounced back from a tough Saturday to win twice on Sunday to go 2-2 for the Mothers' Day weekend.
Royals Baseball 15, Seadogs 5
Fourth inning RBI singles from Jake Glennon, Antonio Tenaglia, Austin Beringer, Sean Cornell and Zack Silva brought the 'Dogs back to a 7-5 deficit before the Royals offense kicked back into gear.

The potent Royals offense proved too much as the Seadogs managed single hits from Francis Kokoros, Beringer and Silva.
Seadogs 6, NE Navigators 1
Jack Ruprecht needed only 62 pitches to spin a complete game, three-hit victory on Mother's Day. Austin Beringer and Daniel Murray made clutch defensive plays in the outfiled as Ruprecht pitched the first complete game of the season. The Seadogs never trailed after Ruprecht (H, RBI, 2 SB) singled home Sean Cornell (2 H, R, SB) to lead off the 1st inning. Zack Silva (2 H, 2 R, SB) and Raul Morales (2 H, 2 RBI, 2 SB) followed with RBI singles for a 3-0 lead. Alert baserunning by Beringer (H, R, SB) and Glennon (2 H, R) pushed the lead to 5-0 after the 4th inning.
Seadogs 6, NE Navigators 2
Trailing 2-1 in the top of the sixth, the Seadogs scored five times to win 6-2. Silva began the winning rally with a two-strike single. After a walk and a wild pitch, Ryan Corcoran tied the game with a fielder's choice as Silva scored ahead of the tag at the plate. Corcoran then stole second before Jake Glennon laced a two-run run double to right field giving the Seadogs the lead. Sean Cornell followed with an RBI single and capped off the rally by scoring on an RBI single by Morales. Zack Silva (4 IP, 4 K) and Daniel Murray (2 IP, 3 K) showed gutsy performances on the mound, holding the Navigators offense in check all game.
The 14U GOLDS split a twinbill on Sunday after being rained out on Saturday.
Boston Junior Rams 5, Seadogs 4
Alex Connolly tossed five strong innings in relief and Craig Hanley hit a solo shot but it wasn't enough as the Junior Rams won the opener.
Seadogs 13, Boston Junior Rams 2
The 'Dogs got three strong innings from ace Mike Baryski and two more from Chris Kingsley in the game two win. Seadog hitters showed their patience as walks and misplays led to the lopsided win. Chris Hoyt and Kevin Ballerini were defensive standouts at centerfield and catcher.

The 11U GOLDS split a pair with the Grand Slam Riverdogs on Sunday.
Seadogs 8, Riverdogs 0
In the opener, Eric Peterson continued his mastery
on the mound, throwing a complete game shut out to lead the Dogs to an 8-0
win. Peterson
struck out seven and did not issue a walk in the game. He helped his
own cause with two hits, two runs scored, and two RBI. Charley Michalowski
had two hits for the 'Dogs and Mason Johnson ripped a long double. John
Donohue
executed a perfect drag bunt which scored an alert Christopher DeGiacomo
from second base.
Riverdogs 11, Seadogs 1
Christopher DeGiacomo's long homerun over the centerfield fence at Putnam/Mercer
was the 'Dogs lone highlight in game two.
The 12U GOLD Seadogs dropped a pair to the powerful South Shore Hurricanes on Sunday.
Hurricanes 5, Seadogs 4
The Hurricanes battled back from 4-2 sixth inning deficit as Matt
Nicholson homered twice. Alex Berluti (6 IP, 9 H, 2 BB's) battled hard all day on
the mound for the'Dogs. Shane Rossi (3 for 3, doubles, all 4 RBI) continued
to swing a hot bat. Pat Horrocks added a pair of hits.
Hurricanes 10, Seadogs 7
The Hurricanes Nicholson hit his third round tripper of the day as the
Seadogs bats could not keep pace with the Hurricanes in this seesaw battle.
Ricky Smith homered for the 'Dogs and Christian
Callahan went two for
three. The Seadogs made just one error on the day.
