Impact Players Needed
The 2010 Seadogs tryout process has ended, yet we are still looking for impact players at certain age groups. Roster spots remain at several age groups. "We're still looking for quality, impact type players in certain areas," stated Seadogs President Frank Niles. "People should feel free to contact us if they're looking for a place to play. It's not unusual for really good players to become available during the winter months."

Seadogs Coaches Announced
The 2010 Seadogs coaching staff will be a mix of new and old. SSBC President and veteran coach Frank Niles will return to the ranks, coaching the 2010 12U BLUE squad. "I'm really looking forward to it," Niles said. "This age group should be a blast. The players are young, talented and eager. You can just watch them improve right before your eyes."
New to the coaching roster will be Tom Keefe (Weymouth, MA) who will be coaching at the 10U level. Also coaching a team at the 10U level will be Jim Dolan, the former coach at Weymouth High, currently the head coach at Lasell College. Dolan assisted Jason Trask last year with the 10U GOLD team.
The 11U BLUES will be coached by returnee Bob Auditore (Walpole, MA). He will be assisted by Sean Murphy (Wilmington, MA), the former star athlete at Thayer Academy and Boston College. Murphy played football and baseball at The Heights and enjoyed a long and successful career coaching the Braintree White Sox of the Cranberry League.
The 11U GOLD squad looks promising in the eyes of Coaches Paul Eastman and Larry Davis. Veteran Eastman coached with the 12U GOLD team last season while Davis will be coaching his first Seadog season.
Veteran Coach John Ferrara (Easton, MA) will move along with his team and coach the 13U BLUES. He will be assisted once again by John Rorke (Norton, MA) and Lanny Larason (Norwell, MA). The 13U GOLDS will feature coach Dan Rice (Cohasset, MA). Rice, the former Brown University hurler, enters his third season in the program.
Craig Parkins (Quincy, MA) will take over the reigns of the 14U BLUE ballclub. Parkins teaches math in the Scituate school system. Last year he was an assistant coach with the 15U squad. He is the JV coach at Scituate HS and according to Niles is "a rising coaching star who we are honored to have in our program". Randy Horrocks (Braintree, MA) will once again assist. The 14U GOLDS will be coached by veteran Seadogs skipper Rick Carlson (Hingham, MA).
The 15U GOLDS return a veteran nucleus from last year's very successful campaign. Skipper Len Saltmarsh (Weymouth, MA) returns along with assistants Rob Madden (Hingham, MA), Mike Loughlin (Rockland, MA) and Paul Flanagan (Hingham, MA).
Coach Ken Tocci (Braintree, MA) will return to lead the 16U Seadogs. Tocci is the varsity baseball coach at Silver Lake HS.
